Sure. Anybody unfortunate enough to have to live in the same network
neighborhood with the WIN$DOGS has plenty of time to run benchmarks
while waiting to get a 10k file from a M$GARBAGE server.

Here, all machines are connected to 100 mb/s 8-wire links with 3COM hubs.

Host 'mcdsrvr' is a dual-Pentium 400MHz dedicated NT-Server with no
interactive activity. It has the latest 'service-packs' whatever that
means.

Host 'quark' is a single Pentium 133 MHz Linux machine.
Host 'localhost' doesn't go through a wire. It shows the 'raw' speed
of the network code on this machine.
