They can deal with this too by providing a statically linked gcc
2.7.2.3 on the cd. A cd has room for quite a lot besides a few hw
drivers. :-)
Actually make that all combinations of:
(gcc-2.7.2, egcs-1.1.x, egcs-2.*) X (i386, i486, i586, i686, ppc,
sparc, sparc64, alpha, mips, sh,
s390, arm)
There is even a tertiary level of complexity as you have to also
build each compiler/binutils set perhaps with whatever patches a
particular release of any given distribution added.
No, this is a bit unreasonable for now.
