You're still missing the "System" flag, the volume label, and that bane
of FAT-based backup solutions everywhere, the long/short filename
mappings. Previous threads on l-k on this subject have suggested that
even PC-based backup programs don't always correctly save/restore the
latter, leading to problems within (among other things) the 'Doze
registry.

My advice: just do it in userspace with an unmounted (or read-only)
partition.
