Specialix Problem !!!!

Hi all,

Please help me out !!!

I have Red Hat 6.1 linux installed in my system.

The problem is with the Specialix card (SX multiport PCI card)

I am not able to install it. I really don't know where i committed the
mistake. The things which i have tried:

1. Installed the SX PCI card.
2. Downloaded the driver from ftp.specialix.com, compiled it and executed
insmod.
3. Downloaded the sx_firmware from the site. Followed the instructions
given in instruction file. But on running the sx-firmware gives the error
message that the device /dev/specialix_ctl not found which i have already
made by using mknod with major 10 and minor 167.

At this point i am really stuck. When i saw the list of pci devices by
using lspci it showed me the Specialix device with irq 9 & io address
0x7080.

I would be very grateful if someone could help on this.

Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!
