Actually I used modules first. I didn't get sound going until I compiled
it into the kernel, changed a 7 to a 5 and rebooted. THEN it went off
just fine. Getting it to work from modules was a right pain. (I don't
ever want to play with isapnp again... it's so much cleaner not using
a module.)
