[root@sleipnir /root]# ls -lab /var/shm/
total 1
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 0 Mar 11 23:59
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 0 Mar 11 23:59 .
drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 1024 Mar 11 23:55 ..
I mounted /var/shm (no '/' at the end), that might explain the
difference. When I do:
[root@sleipnir shm]# cd /var/shm; ls -la
ls: : No such file or directory
total 1
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 0 Mar 11 23:59 .
drwxr-xr-x 20 root root 1024 Mar 11 23:55 ..
