If foo.lnk is a Win32 shortcut to foo.dat and You execute :
FILE * pFile = fopen("foo.lnk", "r");
You get the raw foo.lnk file.
In Unix if foo.lnk is a symlink to foo.dat You get foo.dat file descriptor,
that is the correct behaviour.
