NTFS File system on 2.3.48

When you compile ntfs as a module (or in the kernel) it goes an error
(in fs/ntfs/fs.o) there is a , instead of a ; in one of the lines (dunno
where now as I fixed it)

Can someone tell me how errors come up like this?
If someone edited the file to fix some problems. did they ever test it?
