I missed seeing this message first time around. binutils (ie. as, ld, ar,
nm, objdump, strip, ranlib etc.) bugs should generally be reported to the
address you find by doing `ld --help'. In the case of linux 2.9.5 series
binutils which are actually pre-release versions, you can report these
sorts of errors to binutils@@sourceware.cygnus.com.

To track down this particular ld problem, can you send me (or make
available via ftp), all the .o and .a files mentioned on the above command
line, in a .tar.gz archive. **Don't send the resulting huge mail message
to linux-kernel**

Oh yeah, sources for the very latest binutils can be found by reading
http://sourceware.cygnus.com/binutils/ You might like to see whether some
of the more recent bug-fixes to binutils have cured your ld problem, but I
suspect this bug will still be there.
